Automated WorkFlows

I am trying to set up Automated workflows for my Boss, so it will send an email (For example) 5 days after a date in a column. More or less Follow ups, and also ones to remind me Due dates are coming up.

Here's what i tried so far.

When Rows are added or changed.... when Column X changes to "any Value", where Column X is in the last 5 days - Alert someone.

The problem i'm having is it sends out an Alert the day after. How can i fix this?

Hi @IsaiahT ,

Set the trigger to a custom rather than a row change. Have it run daily, if you want reminders that often. Set the action to send reminder. Set the criteria to select rows that you want reproted, e.g. Column X is in the past, or Column X is 3 days in the future.

Use the row add or change trigger if you want the action taken when something changes. Use custom and and a frequency if you need it to run even when there isn't a change.

Hi Mark, Thanks for responding so fast. Here's an example....

Having actual dates in the Workflow won't work, because the birthday and called column will all be variable. And I only want the e-mail reminders when those conditions have happened.

Change the trigger to be date based (When a date is reached) instead so it triggers five days after.
