Update End Column When complete is mark

I will like to know ...is there a way where the end date column marks by his own every time i mark the complete check box on rorws.

 

I will like to know is there a way to do that.

For clarity, are you asking if the end date would be able to populate the date that the checkbox is marked off for project complete?

We mark with a check box on a complete columneverytime we finish a task.....and we will like the end date to populate himself when the check box is mark.

 

Is there a way to do this?

It sounds like you're using the end date more as a marker rather than for scheduling purposes?  I'm not sure of a clean way to do this, but if checking the completed box is the last thing someone does to that row, have you tried adding a "Auto-Number/System..." column to the end of the row?  It will timestamp with the most recent row modification if you have it set to "Modified (Date)".

Yeah we are trying to use it more as a marker on end dates. But it dosent seems to work on smartsheet.

I just tried the options you gave me on using a modified column but no results on that.

 Try it again, but in order to see the time stamp, you must save and refresh.  Hope this works!

Do be aware, however, that any other modifications to the row will affect that date. So if the project is truly complete, don't modify any fields in the row (at all) after that time or your modification date will change.

You'll need at least the Business Plan because the solution uses multiple steps.

They have an annual subscription that gives a discount too.
