Need a way to calculate hours and minutes

We are using the hours and minutes duration option for our projects and need a way to calculate the stop time based on the duration. We enter the duration and Start Time and want Smartsheet to calculate the stop time (currently we have to enter it manually and there is definitely margin for error... not to mention time consuming):

Any advice on how to get the stop time calculation would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the feedback Brett... I had already read through the discussion in the link you sent over and they all address calculating hours based on start and end times.

But what I need to do is enter the start time and duration and have the stop time automatically calculated. I've found no discussions that address how to accomplish this. Any other ideas?

Any chance you have figured this out yet? We need the same exact same functionality for cutover tasks and have been trying/testing lots of things without success.

Hi Kyla,

I'm afraid this is a pretty manual process for us. We add a formula for Start Time so that it picks up the stop time from the previous row. If Row 1 has a Start and Stop time, then the formula for Row 2's Start time would be:

=[Stop Time]2

This at least gives us the start time for the next task. I've researched and have found no way to auto generate stop times based on start time and duration.
