multiple dropdown lists in the same column

Hi everyone!

I'm trying to make multiple dropdown lists in the same column, for example rows [1-10] have a specific dropdown list and rows [11-30] have a different dropdown list. is that possible in Smartsheet?

Thank you.

    Hi @Taima El Frieh

Hope you are fine, unfortunately, it's impossible to do that in this way but you can solve that in many other ways if you like you can share some screenshot (remove any sensitive data) for your sheet and what exactly you want to do maybe i can help you.

    Hi Baasam,

I am great thank you. Hope you are fine as well.

I have two sections in the same column. The first section lists my hardware components and the second lists the software ones. So, I want to make a dropdown list for each one separately in the same column. Hope this is a good explanation.

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi @Taima El Frieh

There are a couple of workaround options.

    • You could add two so-called helper columns, one for each list, and then show the selected option in the main column.
    • Have the list separated in some way

Would any of those options work/help?

    I hope that helps!

Have a fantastic weekend & Happy Holidays!
