Have you tried using an AVG function? If so, what result are you getting?
-
Hi Paul- yes and it doesn't give me a result or error message- It just shows this as the formula: =AVG([%Complete]2:[%Complete]11)

Are you putting it in a column that is being used by the dependencies?

There's the problem. Dependency columns do not allow formulas. There should be a built in "rollup" function if the rows you are trying to average are child rows. Otherwise you will need to move it elsewhere in the sheet.
