automation with clock timer

Hello ,

Date column is not enough for automation updates/approvals and reminders , we need to send it conditioned on time formula ( clock ) .

For example like to insert task time and and to create automated reminder / update or approval request that with condition based on time , like if the time is 1,2, 3 hours is less thatn to send the auto request etc

It seems like there is no way to do it and the automation is either hourly or daily not specific time , please let me know how to do it even if to go with 3rd party integration

I am not sure about 3rd party integrations, but you could pull the hour from your time input into a separate hidden column and then setup your automations to run based on that.

So basically you would have up to 24 automations. You would set one (for example) to run at 1pm and have it based on rows where the hidden column is "13" (1pm in 24 hour time). Set up the same thing to run at noon based on rows that have a "12". So on and so forth.

But how can i put or track my real time into a column ?

Im asking about real time that count around the clock not time added in down list :(

So for example to set auto action ( update / approval or reminder etc ) to be sent when actual time is reached automatically

That is not an option within Smartsheet unless you wanted to use a 3rd party app such as Zapier to send an update to a sheet more frequently than hourly. Then you would still need to set up separate automations for each specific time after pulling the time into a different cell in text format.
