Counting the number of lines by 'Current user'?

Hi,

I'm looking for a way to count the occurrences of lines with 'Current users' in a grid/report.

I've got a dashboard that displays various lines submitted by multiple users, but uses the current user filter on the report so that the person logged in will only see lines created by them.

What id like to do is create a metric summary which counts how many lines has their name in depending on status (Started, In Progress & Complete).

As far as I'm aware there is no way to use 'Current user' in a formula, so I'm looking for a work around.

As a possible workaround, you could possibly use the new report options and count the current user's lines.

Make sense?

Thanks, I'd forgotten about the new report summary! Despite the fact that I'd had a quick play with it when it first got rolled out.

I assume there isn't a way of taking that summary value and putting it on a Dashboard Metric yet?

Hopefully that, along with a multitude of different new features will be rolled out soon with this incoming dashboard update!
