Auto fill date

Hi,

Is it possible to set a date cell to auto-fill based on a date from another cell?

I'm setting up a task list which tracks the ordering of materials required to sites. I have a column 'date required on site'. I am adding another column 'order to be placed by'. If we know that the supplier requires say 3 weeks notice to meet the delivery dates, is it possible to set the second column to auto-fill based on the first column - 21 days.

Hope that makes sense.

Any help would be appreciated.

Try something like this.

=[Date required on site]@row - 21

=[Date required on site]@row - 21

I had already tried that but just get #UNPARSEABLE in the 'order to be placed by' cell

Strange!

Apologies, I've just tried it by manually typing the formula into the cell and not using the 'sum' function and that seems to have solved it.

Can I set an 'auto-notification' to the person who the task is assigned to if the 'due date is in the past' ?

Yes, you sure can.

You'd use Workflow conditions to decide when it should trigger (so it doesn't trigger if the task is completed).
