Conditional Formatting
I've had some difficulty doing this today, though I think it's easy to do.
I have a meta data sheet with a column that sums tasks in a particular status (Status (RYBG)) and another column that sums task state (Task State (In Progress, Complete, Not Started). Task State is determined by a formula depending upon the % Complete.
If the numbers in these columns don't match, I know there's a missing formula. For easy QC, if these two columns don't match - I would like to have the Status column turn orange. Can I do this with conditional formatting?

Yes, but you'll need to add a so-called helper column first that checks if the values are the same or not.
Make sense?
Would that work/help?
I hope that helps!

Thank you @Andrée Starå
I added in my helper column with formula:
=IF([Task Status_All]18 <> [Task State_All]18, "Not Equal", "Equal")
and then set up my conditional formatting.
I appreciate the help.

One thing to add.
I'd recommend changing the row numbers to @row instead, so you don't have to think about row numbers.
