Is it possible to have a trigger to create X number of rows?

Hello Smartsheet Community,

I have a request from a Manager to have a billing log automatically create rows based on the number of months to be billed. For example, entry into a "1 of 12" payments would create 11 child rows that could be populated with other formulas. Is this even possible?

I don't think that's possible without using an add on application.

I've played around with the idea of having a set structure (number of rows and more) in another sheet that would copy over to the main sheet.

I haven't had time to explore it in detail, but I think something could be developed to work for your use-case.
