Is it possible to automatically move a sheet to another workspace or folder?

We are wanting to archive old project sheets. I have set up another workspace for these but currently have to manually find them in my main workspace and drag them over.

Is there a way to click a box in the project once it is complete and have it move over to the other workspace? Similar to how you can do this with moving rows to another sheet.

I guess I could move all the rows from each sheet into one big archive sheet, but I was hoping to keep the data as it is.

    Unfortunately, it's not possible at the moment, but it's an excellent idea!

    A solution that would be perfect for this use-case is the premium add-on, Control Center.

    Is that an option?

    Otherwise, it might be possible with a 3rd party solution or the Smartsheet API.

    Hi - just leaving this note in case anybody comes across this discussion.

    I work with a Smartsheet Platinum partner and we had a lot of customers asking for this kind of functionality. Both automatically moving sheets, as well as moving folders between different workspaces. This was particularly helpful when a project folder needed to move from workspace to another as it progressed through different phases.

    So, that automation is now available as an Add-On for Smartsheet. I've not created a product information page just yet but if you contact solutions@infospark.com.au that will get through to somebody who can help.

    Would this work for say within a workspace a technical data sheet was created to gather more information outside of the intake sheet (since we have a lot of information already on there, we want to keep this in a seperate document). Then once those requirements have been completed and approved, and it's time to provision everything from the intake sheet - can that tech requirements that has been created prior to the final intake provisioning stage be merged with that (intake provisioned - ready to go with project management templates?) We don't want to allow users access to those templates until the project intake process such as business cases have been fully vetted and approved.

    Hi @AngB789 - yeah that's the kind of thing that it can do. So long as the sheet is in a specific place, we can move it around.

    Because it's a fairly specialist add-on that requires a bit of an involved implementation by our consulting team, it's not the cheapest option (perhaps a few thousand USD) but in busy teams, it is money well spent.
