Is there a way to enable iterative calculations in order to override circular warnings?

Yes, basic formula for calculating a sell price on a cost based on a target margin is:

=Cost/(1-Margin)

The TOTAL PROJECT formula is =SUM(CHILDREN)

this is definitely a circular reference. What exactly do you want it to do?

I want the sheet to calculate dollars based on set margin percentages. In this scenario, the total project $, overhead $, profit $ and bond $ are formulas. The subtotal $ and percentages are inputs. Here is a picture when completed in Excel:

In order to do this in Excel, the Enable Iterative Calculation option has to be checked and the Maximum Iterations has to be maxed out.

This concept definitely does not exist in Smartsheet. If you could explain your goal with a little more detail possibly a different solution/setup would work.

My goal is for our bids to be calculated based on inputting target margin percentages, not markups. Is there a different solution?
