Vertical milestone line in Gaant chart?
How do you make the vertical milestone line common to Gantt charts in Smartsheet? Sample image attached.

Milestones in Smartsheet have a slightly different functionality and design. There currently isn't a way to set up red lines in a Smartsheet Gantt chart, like in your screen capture above (please provide your feedback to the Product Team, here!)
Currently, milestones show as a grey diamond image in Smartsheet; this Help Article has more information: Create a Milestone to Mark a Significant Event in Your Project

Thank you for the response, although that is surprising. Are there any other features to use to be able to easily see where your tasks are in relation to key date milestones?

Personally, I would set up a Conditional Formatting rule to turn any rows with a 0 duration (or any milestone rows) a specific colour so it's easy to see within the sheet... something like this:
You'll notice that in the image above my milestones are showing as red since they're part of my critical path (see here).
I will also note that during our most recent Engage conference, it was announced that the Product Team is working on releasing a Baseline function this year (seeΒ this Youtube video of the Engage Keynote). You may want to subscribeΒ to the Release Notes pageΒ so you can be notified as soon as this update is released since this may help with your project.

It won't make it red, but there's a tip on this post in the archive:
which will give you a vertical line.
It requires you make two copies of your milestone and link them to each other using a predecessor/dependency. I wish there was a built-in function so there wouldn't have to be redundant "junk" lines in the schedule but it works. I also wish you could set the color, but alas you cannot. I will make a feature request, if enough people make one, maybe it will happen?
