Gannt Chart Completing tasks, update dependent task dates
I am building out a Gannt chart and would like the functionality that if a task is scheduled to take 10 days, but is completed in 7 days as indicated by the task being marked "complete" (drop down menu), that the subsequent task dates would then push up 3 days. This seems like easy functionality, but I'm not sure the best way to go about it?

You would need to adjust the date in your End Date column, which would then automatically update the dependent rows. Since End Dates with dependencies cannot house formulas (see here), this means you would want to manually update the actual end date at the same time as choosing "complete". Does that make sense?
At Engage 2020 it was announced that our Product team is working on releasing a Baseline feature this year (see this Youtube video of the Keynote). I would suggest subscribing to the Release Notes page so you can be notified as soon as this update is released, as I think this may help with your project.
Let me know if I can explain anything further and I'm happy to help!
Cheers,
Genevieve

Thanks, that is what I was thinking about just updating the end date. Thanks for all the info.
