Exporting to Excel

I'm unable to export a report with 10,131 rows to Excel. Is there a limit on the number of rows that can be exported?

    Hello,

We place a hard limit of 20,001 rows when exporting a report to Excel, which you clearly haven't exceeded.

If you're receiving an error when exporting, it may be due to the file size, or internet connection speed. There could also be something on your computer that blocks our export process, as we store the workbook file on Amazon servers on the backend.

Try exporting using a different computer and possibly even a different internet connection.

You may need to consider breaking your report down into multiple reports (limit the criteria per report) and export multiple files—then combine them in excel.

If the above doesn't work, I'd recommend reaching out to our Support team and troubleshooting further:https://help.smartsheet.com/contact

This is a rather frustrating limit

  • Also note that if a sort was applied to your report, fewer than 20,000 rows may be exported.
