Getting a date when the status cell changed to a certain symbol

Record a date automation has been set up, which is fine for lines going forward, but what about the older lines?

I want to set a date column where it looks at a row, where that row is a tick symbol, give me the date that it changed to the tick symbol

The information is there in the cell history, but I can't link to the cell history and pull what I need out of it

Does anyone know of a way? (Ideally not using helper sheets etc.)

Unfortunately, it's not possible at the moment, but it's an excellent idea!

Please submit an Enhancement Request when you have a moment.

A possible workaround/solution could be the Smartsheet API, but not sure.

Is that an option?
