Linking cells from one project plan to another

Hello, I have a larger group where each department has individual project plans. I tried to link the cells from some of the top level categories to a roll up project plan so that the progress on those top level items would be surfaced for the team leader. All the cells link and update just fine with the exception of the End Date. All sheets have dependencies enabled if that matters. The original End Date copies over, but does not update when changed, and does not show the little blue triangle for inbound link.

Do you have dependencies enabled on the master sheet?

The dependency and duration column cells were not linked however

Is the End Date in the source sheet referenced in the dependency settings?

No, "Predecessors" column is blank in the source
