Can I use cell history to calculate how much time has taken between two non-date cell types?
Hello SS Community,
I have a sheet that is used by medical professionals. We need to calulate the time between a cell that is filled out when a patient arrives, and one that is filled out when they leave. The cells are text based and not date type, nor are they cells where the user is typing in a time (so I cant simply export and calc in excel).
I can see the time of day in the cell history, is there a way I can calculate the number of hours passed from Cell 1 to Cell 2, if I have time stamps from the cell history. The sheet si aslo too large for this to be a manual process, plus it's a hospital, no one has time for that?!?
thansk in advance, the help is much appreciated!!!

Daniel,
Short answer: No.
This is possible (I believe, haven't done it yet) using the API ("Get Cell History").
Cell history is one of the "rate limited" tasks that can be done from the API, which means one needs to be careful when developing the solution.

Thanks for the quick reply. I keep running into the API as the only answer as well.
