Do those cells have a formula? Formula cells are not editable in a report.

Nope the cells are in a report. I have columns from 2 sheets in this report. I can edit all the columns pulled from the first sheet but the all the cells in the columns from the 2nd sheet are locked.

Probably a silly question, but are you an editor in the second sheet? Are the sharing permissions for both sheets the same? @Paul Newcome @Andrée Starå ever see this behavior before?

The cells in the actual sheet (not in the report)...
Do they have formulas?
What type of columns are they in?
Are they being referenced in dependency settings?
Are the columns and/or rows locked?
Are you the owner of the sheet?
Are you the owner of the report?
How exactly are you accessing the report?
