Make reports un-editable?
Hello!
How may I ensure a report cannot be edited?
I recently created a new report and my viewer deleted rows in the report. This deleted not only the rows from the report, but from the underlying dataset as well. I must now start over from scratch.
Previously reports were not editable, or so I thought. How can I prevent a future user from tampering with the data I want them to consume?

There are a number of ways.
You can adjust the permissions on the sheet(s) or report. You can provide a published "Read Only" link to the report. You can lock the rows/columns on the sheet(s). Which one you use is going to depend on exactly who needs to access what and how.

I hope you're well and safe!
More info.
Also, what license do you have for Smartsheet? WorkApps might also be an option that could help.
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic week!

Thanks Paul.
Would you have a resource to point to on how to publish and set to "Read only" ? I want to prevent anybody, including myself (admin) from deleting data in a report. I want the report to merely display data, nothing more.

Thank you Andree,
Very helpful indeed. I am testing out the publish and read only feature at the moment. As for my license, I am not sure, it'll take me some time to get that info. But will circle back if publish/read only does not solve my issue.
