Utilize Dashboards with Clients

Does anyone utilize the dashboards with your clients? Meaning you have a dashboard that shows

* # of task left

# of task past due

# of milestones lefts etc..

But you also allow them to add notes, complete task etc on the dashboard? Is the only way to complete this, is to give them access to everything so they can drill down into the dashboard and then update the "report"? Do we not have any way to allow them to edit via the dashboard ?

Yes, I use Dashboards/Portals with my clients.

There are multiple ways to structure a solution.

What Smartsheet Plan do you have? The new solution, WorkApps, could be an excellent option, but it all depends.

Dynamic View is also another excellent solution.

Can you describe your process in more detail and maybe share the sheet(s)/copies of the sheet(s) or some screenshots? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help. (share too, andree@workbold.com)

Thanks @Andrée Starå Here is our situation and problem.

An example would be... we have 1 Project Manager and 3 Consultants who work on multiple projects. They may need access to multiple projects at anytime. But each of these projects has a client, and those clients need access to just their project schedule or dashboards to update items etc...

We have 1 project template that has 5 dashboards with things like Forums embedded into them.
If we want to copy our template, we have to always remember to update the embedded forum links as they go to the original and not the new ones, then make sure the client has access to EVERYTHING since the dashboards run off of reports and they have to CLICK the reports to then load them to then edit them...

It just seems like we are missing something and their has to be an easier solution for something like this.

Monthly easily 30+ are created. I'm assuming we have the enterprise / level of SS we are a larget organization, but I'm not the SS admin. Just working on the dashboards and looking for next steps for our org.

Have you looked at Control Center and/or WorkApps?

The form part is a tricky one because there is no way to have that automatically replaced, but another premium add-on could simplify that process. It's called Dynamic View.
