Sheet name ' in automated email when tag somebody

Hi, Whenever someone is tagged, Smartsheet sends them an email and references the sheet name on the bottom. A lot of our sheets have an apostrophe like Feb '21 and the email shows Feb '21.

Is there any workaround to keep the sheet name as Feb '21 instead of Feb '21 ?

    Hi @ygoldgrab

I'm unable to replicate what you're seeing in the body of your email notification, my alerts show the apostrophe:

Because of this, I'm wondering if it possibly has something to do with your email provider and any spam blocker settings that your organization may have. Does this occur in automation-type emails from other applications? What about if you sent this notification to a personal email address not managed by your company, or to a different email provider?

If this only happens with Smartsheet notification emails, could it potentially be related to the browser you are using, or the browser extensions you have? (See the general troubleshooting steps in this Help Article, under "Smartsheet Is Slow to Load or Save, or Does Not Respond": Troubleshooting Guide).

Let me know if any of this has helped or not!

    Cheers,

    Genevieve

Wow! You're right. It was my organization's email provider.

I sent to my personal email address and it showed the apostrophe and not the '

    Thank you!

  • No problem, I'm glad we could figure it out!
