Can I count the status in a projectplan, to directly display on the dashboard?

Hi all,

I would like to include in a dashboard, the count of each 'status' in a projectplan and the percentage of that status appearing in the plan.

I can do that with a countif(), but THEN I need to make a report, to be able to display it in a dashboard.

Is there a way to get it directly in the dashboard, or with a minimum number of sheets, eg a summary directly in a report? I need to do this for 22 projects in the organization, and every added sheet needs maintenance and adds complexity.

You don't need to use a report because it will work from the sheet a well.

Another option could be to use the sheet summary section instead.

Hi Andree,

I am keen to learn how I can get the count of each status from a sheet directly in a dashboard. In the dashboard, I can add widgets for a graph and for a metric, not for a formula if I am correct.

The only option I see now is to create a summary sheet, then report, and then connect the report to the dashboard.

You can select cells in the sheet, a specific section of the sheet, or use the Sheet Summary feature and show them with the Metrics widget in a Dashboard.
