How do I run a report that groups all tasks by assignee?

Trying to run a simple report that shows all task in a project plan grouped by assignee with the total number of tasks assigned. Sounds simple but my Action Step leader (Assignee - Contact) column nor my Team (Multi select - Contact) column display as options for grouping or summary in reports.

Thoughts?

Have you checked under the "Sort" option within the report?

That was my thought as well but in reports, contact fields (single or Multiple) do dot appear as an option in reports as related to grouping or sorting.

Hmm... That's odd. I added a single select and a multi select contact column to a test sheet and then added them both to a test report. When I click on the sort button, it gives me the option to sort by both of those.

This might not work because it seems like you're having another issue that the support team should maybe take a look at.

Make sure that you've not selected the same column for grouping that you're trying to sort with as well because that won't work.

If you haven’t already, I would recommend that you reach out to the Smartsheet Support Team.
