Search for a comment by a specific person

OK, haven't used the platform for a while, but can't figure this one out.

I want to search for a comment by a specific person. I need to find all comments made by that person on my active sheet. I'm talking about the little comment/conversation bubble on the left side of the sheet.

I can export the sheet to Excel, and then search for comments by a particular person, but that is very cumbersome and inconvenient.

Please help.

At this time, Smartsheet does not have a programmed capability for that specific feature to search a comment by a specific person in a sheet, but it is a really great idea! When you have a moment, please submit a Product Enhancement Request to let our Product team know about your feedback.

In the meantime, an alternate solution is to export the sheet to Excel & the 2nd sheet tab of the Excel workbook has the comments that you can search that way by specific user.

I was afraid that the answer was "we don't have that" :(

So sad to know that if I want to find out what someone has been up to, there's not an easy way to do it in Smartsheet.

is there a way to search the "comments" at all?
