Card View Issue- Can only Select the "View by Status" sorting

Hi Smartsheet Gurus!

I am having trouble changing the cards from "View by Status" to "View by Assigned to". I can only see the "View by Status" sorting option in Card View. I want to change it to "View by Assigned to". I have removed all parent/child relationships in the grid view in case that was the issue. Not sure if this impacts anything, but I am part of the early adapters program.

Any advice for how to solve this problem is greatly appreciated.

Ok I figured it out!

The "Role" Column needed to be formatted to a contact column and have only one contact selected.
