When I move a row from 1 sheet to a new sheet, how do I keep my linked cells linked?
I am moving rows from an actively working sheet to a completed projects sheet. Some of the linked cells end up changing after the row gets moved. How do I keep the cells linked even after the row has been moved?
Thanks in advance!!

When moving or copying a row to another sheet, only static data is moved/copied. You would have to go into the sheet that the row was moved to and then link them there.

That is correct.

Paul,
So there is no way to keep the cells linked? I will have to revisit the completed sheet to relink the needs cells?
Thanks!

@Paul Newcome Can you please show me how that formula would look like? I'm able to link 1 sheet in the formula but not 2. I'm also having the same trouble as Kris. I have one main sheet (A) and one archive (B), but several smaller sheets that are linked to A. So when rows gets moved from A to B, all the data disappears from all the smaller sheets.

@CNaenfeldt You would have to go into Sheet B and recreate those links whether that be by replicating the formulas with cross sheet references that are in Sheet A or creating cell links.

is there a feature request to preserve the cell link, after the row has been moved to another sheet?
i want to upvote it

@Harry Luk Feel free to dig through the Product Ideas tab at the top of the page. If there is one there, you can add your vote. If not, you can create it yourself. Either way, please include a link tot he idea here in this thread to help other easily find it to add their votes.
I personally would not vote on it as is though. I would want the option to be able to turn it on and off at the Automation level (not account or sheet level) because I use this very regularly for archiving purposes. I take advantage of cell links and cross sheet references being removed so I can capture the static data and report on historical metrics and whatnot.
I even take advantage of the Copy Row not pulling cell links / cross sheet references and capturing static data in a number of solutions as well.

@Paul Newcome thanks for the response
I guess it is personal preference, but at the very least it should be an option
Also, when I try to SEARCH the PRODUCT IDEAS, it simply returns everything from the entire site. Is there a way to search ONLY PRODUCT IDEAS? anyone know?
