Report from multiple sheets

Hi,

Can anyone suggest me how to retrieve data from 2 sheets into a report?

Here is the list of fields from sheet1 and sheet2

Sheet1:

program, task name, release name, field4, field5...

Sheet2:

program, release name, field3, field4,field5....

Program and release name is the common from both the sheets. Sheet1 has main and subtask and I would like to have this in the report connecting to Sheet2 with other fields.

Hope you are fine, when you create a report you can define more than one sheet to collect data from.

I hope you're well and safe!

To add to Bassam's excellent advice/answer.

I think that what you're asking is how you can show sheets 1 and 2 side by side by row.

To do that, you'd need to add a so-called helper sheet and use cross-sheet formulas combined with VLOOKUP or INDEX/MATCH, and then set the report to reference that sheet instead.

Make sense?
