grouping data in a bar chart

Hello! I have a similar request to Nannette Huber's from a year ago. Not sure if there is an upgrade to the tool that would accommodate for this. I transferred a simple project budget template from Excel to Smartsheet with the following columns:
- Name of Project
- Name of team
- Name of activity
- Name of resource
- Four columns, one each for the 4 quarters of the year and the dollar amount (so each line has 4 dollar amounts)
When i create the dashboard for this sheet, using a simple bar chart, i get multiple bars for the same teams, whereas i am trying to show the summary per team (see attached). Is this possible?
Thank you

@Chris Dimas You would need to create a row report, group by the team, and then use the report summary fields to get your totals on the grouped lines. Referencing the report in your chart widget should get you what you are looking for.

Hello there! Im having the same problem as OP. Is there a feature to aggregate data on graphs now?
@Paul Newcome IDK if you still work here anymore but I see you answering this type of question on multiple different pages. Please help

@Kim_B I've actually never worked for Smartsheet. Haha. I do use Smartsheet for work though and love spending time here in the Community.
Have you looked into creating a row report and leveraging the grouping and summary features within that report?

@Paul Newcome Oh haha, that's great though. Thank you!
I'm going to need that dumbed down for me lol. I'm trying to combine data on the report from 2 different sheets to show one column in the graph. So, I'm trying to show the global territories of active and closed jobs. Active being one sheet and closed being another. On the report it'll show US in one column but show 2 rows to reflect each sheet and therefore does the same on the graph. I need it to tell US 3 instead of US 1 and US 2. Hopefully this makes sense

@Kim_B Are you able to provide some screenshots for context?

Absolutely @Paul Newcome

@Kim_B Try clicking on that Summarize button and apply a summary to each of the columns.

@Paul Newcome How do I get the summary to apply to the graphs after clicking that button?
