Best practice question re primary column for RAID log sheets: ID number or name?
Hi, everyone. I have different sheets for elements of my RAID log (reasoning for us being decisions needed more/different columns than risks, etc.). However, we are split on if the primary column should be the ID number (e.g. Action ID, Risk ID, etc.) on each sheet or the actual name of the item (e.g. Action Name, Risk Name), etc. What are the pros/cons? I'm curious to see how people are using this and their rationale.

I personally use the task name because it seems to flow a little better when using hierarchy since the Primary column is the only one that shows the indentation.
If your primary "sort" is by Action vs Risk, etc, then use that in the Primary column. Really it depends on what the main data is vs the "extra" data.
