Vlookup Formula help
I always struggle with formulas....this time VLOOKUP. After creating the formula the cell says #UNPARSEABLE. I'm sure it's something simple, but I always fail in troubleshooting formulas.
I am looking up the username in another sheet and retrieving the Created Date data.
Here are my screenshots. Hope you can tell what I am doing as I had to blur out some things.
Lookup sheet
Field selection from cross reference lookup
If I change the first argument in the VLOOKUP to VLOOKUP(Username@row), .... I get the #INCORRECT ARGUMENT error.
Thanks!

Hi @Pamb10
I hope you're well and safe!
Try something like this.
=VLOOKUP(Username@row, {??? Onboarding List for Lookup Username},6,false)
Did that work/help?
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic week!

Hi Andree,
Thank you for your assistance. When I make those changes I get #INCORRECT ARGUMENT.

Happy to help!
Strange!
I'd be happy to take a quick look.
Can you maybe share the sheet(s)/copies of the sheet(s)? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help. (share too, andree@workbold.com)

Much appreciated. Had to modify the data a bit. I shared it with you.

Hi Andree,
Just wanted to make sure you were able to access the shared files.

I just realized partially what I am doing wrong, although I am not really sure why it still didn't work. Let me explain...
For the second parameter of the VLOOKUP i was choosing a single column (username). I assume since it did not include the column containing the data I wanted to return, it barfed.
I have now corrected the second parameter of the VLOOKUP to include all columns of the lookup table. However, now I get a #NO MATCH error. But there should be a match, I see the username value I am testing with, its just not finding it....
This is the formula I am now working with:
=VLOOKUP(Username@row, {Onboarding List Range 1}, 2, 1)
I was wondering if maybe there are spaces before or after the content in the username field, but when I click on it to check, i do not see any.

Hi Andree,
Were you able to get it working or see what is wrong?
Thanks
Pam
