Alerts and Unrestricted Sheets

I want to send automated alerts to contacts within a row of the summary of a row that was populated through a form. The contacts are outside of our organization and Smartsheet requires that I make the sheet unrestricted. Will the contacts getting the alert be able to see the sheet or access any part of the sheet information if I make it unrestricted? None of the contacts will be grated formal access to the sheet through the sharing options.

No, they will only be able to access the sheet if you share the sheet with them.
