If(And) Formulas
Hi,
I am trying to have either an "Approved" or "Denied" display in column 33 based on what 2 other columns contain and continue to run into an "Unparsable" error. I am assuming its an If(AND) formula, however, there may be the need to add a NOT or OR formula since there could be multiple combination in the two cells.
I need something to trigger a formula in a dashboard based on the 2 cells both indicating approval.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
Heather

I hope you're well and safe!
Try something like this. (You almost had it correct. it was only one to many parentheses)
=IF(AND([MGM Approval]@row = "MGM Approved", [HR Approval]@row = "HR Approved"), "Approved", "Denied")
Did that work/help?
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic weekend!

Sorry about that!
I missed adding the part to set it as blank.
Try this.
=IF(OR([MGM Approval]@row = "", [HR Approval]@row = ""),"", IF(AND([MGM Approval]@row = "MGM Approved", [HR Approval]@row = "HR Approved"), "Approved", "Denied"))
Did that work?

@Andrée Starå If I wanted to add to the formula to leave that column blank if there is no data, would I be able to do so?

Try something like this.
=IF(OR([MGM Approval]@row = "", [HR Approval]@row = ""), IF(AND([MGM Approval]@row = "MGM Approved", [HR Approval]@row = "HR Approved"), "Approved", "Denied"))

@Andrée Starå That doesn't seem to work- it is returning a blank unless the cells are blank..? I did convert to a column formula to test. I also tried to put the IF(OR) formula after the IF(AND) to see if the order of operations would make a difference.
