Gantt chart - date fields ok from formulas?

Hi, all. I have data in table where two date columns are derived from formulas. When I try to use the Gantt chart functionality it says that my grid needs at least two dates columns and doesn't allow me to continue. I have two date columns but they are derived from formulas. Does the Gantt chart functionality not recognize dates from formulas?

Double check that they are in fact set as date type columns. The Gantt chart can display dates that are derived from formulas.

I had the same issue. I found that it is because they were set as column formulas. As soon as I made them cell formulas, I could display the Gantt chart view.

@Tony Bowlin Good to know. I had never tested column formulas with Gantt view and never thought that they might not work together.
