Attachment appears in search but not on the sheet?

I have an attachment that I am able to find when searching in Smartsheet. I can click on it to view in the search box but I cannot locate it on the actual sheet. I reviewed the activity log for the sheet and see where the attachment was uploaded however but I cannot find any activity log entry that says it was deleted. I do see a row it may have been attached to that was deleted however the activity log does not indicate if the row had a proof or an attachment. I have also reviewed the sheet proofs and attachments and it does not appear there.

Does Smartsheet save an attachment when a row it's attached to is deleted? Essentially we need the attachment back and just find it odd that if the row was deleted the attachment still appears in the search. Is this a bug? Any insights you can provide are appreciated!

Have you checked, so it's not attached to the sheet and not a row?

Hi @Andrée Starå thanks for the comment. I did check both sheet attachments and sheet proofs and it's not there.
