If I use forms to create a questionnaire; can I go back and print a filled out form?
Hello,
working on creating a form that has questions. Can you go back and select from your sheet where the information is being populated an individual or topic and see it in a form format vs on the sheet for that particular individual or topic? Say I want to see how X individual answered questions but in the form format where I could pdf the form and share with other not using the sheet.
Thank you,
M

Hi @MONICA BUENDIA ,
I do this by using Generate Documents. You can upload a PDF, then indicate where each field should populate. From there, you can generate the document, download it as a filled PDF, and attach the PDF to the row. I use this feature regularly and it's been great so far!
Here's more information on it: https://help.smartsheet.com/learning-track/smartsheet-advanced/document-builder

I hope you're well and safe!
To add to Heather's excellent advice/answer.
You could also use the Print row option and save it as a PDF.
Would that work/help?
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic week!

Heather,
thank you for the idea of using document builder. I am being informed that you have to have an Enterprise plan with Smartsheet in order to do what you just said. Is that they plan you have or a lower plan? Have you seen more in depth training videos for the one you provided is short but thank you so much for sending.

Hello Heather,
can you elaborate on the uploaded pdf and how you did that. Will this process also allow you to attach viewable documents? And can this be auto emailed to certain recipients? Note this form would need to go through an approval process.
Workflow
- questionnaire answered for a suggestion project with attachments
- sent to the selected department for approvals (may be more than 1 person)
- if rejected originator gets a declined notification
- if approved specific recipients get a pdf or report document with all the questions answered by the originator and with their viewable attachments
Thank you.
