Formula in Dropdown Column

I have a dropdown column in a sheet for Sales people. See attached.

At the top of this sheet, I'd like to do summary formulas for tasks and the best way to do that is to use the dropdown column for the formula. However, when I do this, it gives me the error #contact expected. I've seen this done on examples, but I can't figure out how to allow the formula in these cells. Note: I do not have the restricted to these options only checked. It is unchecked.

How can I make the formula result show?

    Hi Andrea,

Looks like it's a contact column which can't have a formula. Move to another column.
