how the bell icon works when creating an automated workflow - Reminders
I set up an automated reminder workflow to be triggered based on a date. Can I expect to see a bell icon in the action -indicator column? Do those only show up if it's set manually?
My goal is to have a visual aid that shows me which rows already have reminders set and for which I still need to create a reminder.
If I use an automated workflow to set reminders for multiple rows based on a date column, will I get that icon? And if not, are there any tips that can work for me? I add information to the sheet all the time, so I need to make sure that all the reminders are in working order..
Thanks!

No, the bell icon in the row won't appear if you're using an Automated Workflow to send out the email reminder. This icon is only associated with manual "Reminders" that are set to specific rows (versus a Workflow which would be dynamic and could include different rows each time based on your criteria).

In addition to your Workflow, could you set up Conditional Formatting rules to highlight certain rows based on their associated date? (See: Conditional Formatting)
Or if there's an action associated with the reminder, what about sending an Update Request action instead of an Alert action. This would then have a "Pending Update" icon (near where the bell icon is) until that request has been completed or an update has been submitted. (See: Automatically Request Updates on Tasks)
Let me know if either of these would work for you! If not, it would be helpful to see a screen capture of your current sheet with details on your process. We may be able to use formulas or another solution to achieve your goals.

Genevieve
