Automation not working as expected

I set up an alert automation with one trigger and two conditions, the alert was sent even though the conditions applied. Can someone look at the automation with me to identify why the alert is not triggered correctly?

Try clicking on the "or" to change it to an "and". Using the "or... Technically "x" is not "y", so even if one of them is present, since it is not the other then it still doesn't quite meet the conditions. Changing it to "and" means that it cannot be "x" and it cannot be "y' meaning it will not send if it is either one of those.

The alert was or was not sent?

Alert was sent. I expected it would not be sent. The trigger is when a row is added, and the conditions are met, send the alert. The conditions are where a field is not equal to 'x' or that same field is not equal to 'y.' The alert was sent even though the field value was 'y.'

The line populated with the Noble Team Member bfisher@noblebiomaterials.com. I am trying to set up so if bfisher or ipund sends in a request the alert is not sent. Should I change condition to "is equal to."?

If you change it to "equal to" with the "or" then it will only send if it is one of those two values and will not send for any other value.

Just thinking this through . . . I do not want to send alert when values are equal to those two team members, if any other team member populates the line, alert should be sent. I think the condition does have to be set to "not equal to."

Right. Use the "not equal to" and change the "or" to "and".
