VLOOKUP to another Sheet is returning #NO MATCH
Hi
Hoping you can help :-)
Relatively new to Smartsheet but very experienced in excel.
I am trying to do a VLOOKUP from one sheet to another, however the formula keeps returning #NO MATCH.
The only issue I can see is that the cell I am looking up (Induction Status) says Used in Formula <unknown sheet> Do you have any idea why this is showing?
I am the Owner of the original sheet and an Admin on the sheet I am looking up to.
Please see attached file with screenshots.
Many thanks,
JW

Hi @Jacqué Whitlock
Hope you are fine, as i understand from the excel sheet you embedded in your question that you have to sheet:
1- sheet 1 contains the 12 columns in green.
2- sheet 2 contains the 7 columns in gray and you want to use the vlookup to get the induction status using Employee ID.

Please add a copy of your sheet (after removing or replacing any sensitive information). This will make it easier for me to provide the appropriate answer to your question.
i need to copy the same column's name to write for you the exact formula.

Am Asking is the formula and data you want to get in the same sheet or in 2 different sheets because the vlookup function will not be the same.

Hi Bassam,
The formula is in one sheet (which I own) and the data is in another sheet (which I am an Admin).
Thank you!
