Copy Row Automation - New Row Remains Linked?
Hello,
When using the copy row function in automation is there a way to designate the copied row as linked to the source row? The easiest use case to explain this function would be a Risk Register Rollup where projects maintain their own RRs and when new entries are made it sends those rows to the RR rollup. As status updates and attributes of a project-level RR row are made those will then automatically reflect in the RR rollup. This would save a lot of time than having to individually link the rows or having copied rows stagnant from their creation date.

Hi @Taylor Compton - NOAA Federal
I hope you're well and safe!
Yes, it's possible, but you won't be able to edit the connected information using a cross-sheet formula.
Would that work/help?
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic weekend!

Thanks for your quick reply. I thought of using COLLECT or INDEX but that didn't seem to solve the many to one problem.
10 Project Risk Registers => 1 Risk Register Rollup
The initial entries flow into the Rollup and remain linked so that PM updates in their Risk Registers reflect in the Rollup. New entries across the various 10 Project Risk Registers insert and maintain a link in the Rollup. The Rollup is essentially view only, data would not be bi-directional.
How would I use cross-sheet formulas to call data from multiple different sheets?

@Andrée Starå I'm going to revisit with the stakeholders to verify if we can use a report instead (which more straight forward) than of the intra-linked sheets. Thanks!
