COUNTIFS using OR nested within 1 of the criteria sets

Hello Smart Smartsheet People,

I have a sheet with a Status column and an End Date Column. I need to get a count of the number of rows that have a Status of (Not Started or In progress or On Hold) AND where the End Date is in the past. Here's what I've tried:

=COUNTIFS({1-Project Plan Status},OR(@cell="Not Started",@cell="In Progress",@cell=On Hold),{1-Project Plan End Date},<TODAY)

What am I doing wrong? I throw myself on your mercy. Thank you!

Try adding "()" after TODAY:

=COUNTIFS({1-Project Plan Status},OR(@cell="Not Started",@cell="In Progress",@cell=On Hold),{1-Project Plan End Date},<TODAY())
