Counting single select options from form

I am needing to count up the amount of times people select each option from a single select drop down on a form. I am creating a new spreadsheet just for these counts. Does anyone know a good formula for this?

Hello @Valerie Jones ,

You can use the =COUNTIF formula.

It would look something like this:

=COUNTIF(Range,Criterion)

=COUNTIF([DropDownColumn]:[DropDownColumn],="Whatever the dropdown you need to count is")

If you want multiple criteria, you can also use =COUNTIFS. Let me know if you have any additional questions!
