Data Shuttle is a very excellent tool and can be relatively straightforward to use. The only problem I have run into using it was an issue caused by my own error.

Thank you. I am thinking of using the Business Budget management templates to track grant budget and expenses over time across multiple departments and expense categories. At an academic institution we have access to the general ledger within the university system, and wondering how I can transfer the data to the Smartsheet general ledger sheet without having to do it manually.

Are the Actual Expenses in another system, or are they in Smartsheet?

To import the data and keep it updated, the simplest method would probably be the Premium App, Data Shuttle.

Have you explored that?

Is that an option?

Hello Paul and Andre,

Our expenses are in another system (from the campus), and it is very helpful to know there is a different Smartsheet product that perhaps can support our need to transfer the data in. We will explore that!

If using the data shuttle and the business budget management template could you use the excel attachment to run the data shuttle.

I just started using data shuttle and I am not able to use the attachment to run my workflow. I have to do this manually.
