Find number of daily occurrences of a specific item

I am having an issue to find the best practices to a certain case. I am using Smartsheet for booking purposes and I need to create a rule that if a certain item is booked more than 15 times a day the row in which it happens, will be highlighted. The problem is that the booking has a start date and an end date and and the rule needs to take all the dates in between into consideration. We have 35 items with different daily limits.

    Hi @Monika

I hope you're well and safe!

Can you describe your process in more detail and maybe share the sheet(s)/copies of the sheet(s) or some screenshots? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help. (share too, andree@workbold.com)

    I hope that helps!

Be safe and have a fantastic week!

  • Hi Andrée,

Thank you so much for your quick response.

I have items (bookings) listed in grid view. I have a daily limit for each item. To make sure I am not overbooking I need a reminder/warning that tells me if e.g. there are over 15 booking requests for Item 1 in a day or if there are over 10 booking requests for item 2 in a day.

Gantt view is perfect in a sense that I have a really good visual overview, BUT the risk of overbooking is still there.

    Monika
