Does CardView have a limit on how many columns it will show?

We're viewing by a column with a dropdown (about 150 selections in the dropdown). Cardview shows them alphabetically, and it stops at G. Half of these have no lines of data, yet they are showing up in cardview. Can we filter those out so we can see all of the items that do have data? Or update a setting to be able to view all the items?

  • Hi @RScapperotti

Card View Lanes are created by having values identified within the column properties of a dropdown list, like so:

Anything defined in the dropdown column properties will then show as a lane, even if there are 0 cards assigned to it. You can then "collapse" any lanes that you want to minimize by clicking the arrow button on the right, like so:

  • @Genevieve P. That solution doesn't solve the issue. We're facing the same scenario. We're maxed at 64 lanes, I thought of applying a filter so it only populated the lanes with information, but it still shows all the lanes. Ideally it would be nice for the filter to only display the lanes showing content that applied as a workaround the 64 lane max. This seems to be a recurring issue and a workaround would be great.

  • Hi @Leilanny

Thank you for clarifying! You're correct, there's currently a 64 lane limit in Card View.

I would suggest adjusting what column you're using for your lanes (can you create a higher level of category?) with the more detailed lane information you're currently using as a drop-down choice within the card.

Please also let the Product team know of your use-case and feedback on the 64 lane limit!

    Cheers,

    Genevieve
