After publishing a sheet to Google calendar, can I get the Gcal events to stop updating?

Hello, Smartsheet community.

I recently started publishing my Smartsheets to my Google calendar.

It's great, but the problem is that I don't want every item on the sheet to appear on my Google calendar.

If I delete these items from my Google calendar, the problem appears to be solved. I can also rename Smartsheet items on my Google calendar.

But the problem returns when the Smartsheet is updated – all the items I deleted on my Google calendar reappear, and all the names I changed are overridden with the original names in the Smartsheet.

Is there a way to remedy this? Can I get it so that the items on my Google calendar remain the same, even if the Smartsheet is updated?

Here's a possible workaround or workarounds

• You could copy the rows to a so-called helper sheet and then use that for the calendar
