Hi @Mo421

Hope you are fine, Please add a copy of your sheet or a screenshot (after removing or replacing any sensitive information). This will make it easier for me to provide the appropriate answer to your question.

Hi @Mo421

I agree, it would be helpful to see a screen capture of your sheet to identify what it is you're looking to SUM.

In the meantime, here is how a SUM with CHILDREN would work. You can put this in the Parent/top row to SUM all the CHILD rows below it:

=SUM(CHILDREN())

Or, if you want to SUM the Children of a different column, put the column reference with @row inside of the CHILDREN function, like so:

=SUM(CHILDREN([Column 1]@row))

Does that make sense? Here's a webinar on formulas that may help. The first video goes through formulas for "indented rows" or Child rows.

Cheers,

@Genevieve P.

I have a similar question as the OP and would love to use your link as a reference however it tells me that I do not have access to view that file. Any other resources?

My apologies! It looks like the webinars have been updated since 2021. Here's a link to our "Best Practice" Webinar list:

There are a few on formulas here, including this one:
