Change in email alert sender name in SmartSheet


Hi Team,

I need information and help on below.

We have set up approval and communication workflows in SmartSheet, which is working perfectly fine except one issue. The emails alerts for approval or communications are sent in the name of person who has created the workflow. Is it possible to change the email sender to generic name?

    Hi @Vinaykumar Bhat ,

    If you add the sheet to a new workspace and then reassign a different user as the owner of that workspace. The sender of any automation within that workspace would show as the workspace owner. Note, the workspace owner must be a licensed user.

    To add to Holly's excellent advice/answer.

    Here's a possible workaround or workarounds

    • Add a general user (licensed) to your account and then change the owner of the sheets/workflows to that user.
