Scanning Bar Codes in a Form

Hello, I've read some questions and responses related to maintaining inventory by using the scan function in iOS, however, I am not having any luck doing it myself. Does the form field need to be setup in a way that when you are filling it out on a phone or Ipad that the scan icon appears, like it does if you are trying to do a search in a Sheet? Please advise.

Hi @LMC

Our scan field column is set to Text/Number and the form field has no Validation. We found if any field had validation the form opened in a web browser which prevented the IOS scan function so we turned off all validations.

Thank you. This answered my question and I have removed other validation fields and it now works.
